Canadian Campus Retail Associates Inc is a private Canadian corporation jointly owned by 22 Canadian college stores. Created in 1998, CCRA stores share in the design, development, and deployment of technologies and applications relevant in the college store and academic publishing markets. Since their founding, CCRA has developed over 20 retail technology applications currently in use among their store base. Their collaboration with NMS on the Digital Content Platform demonstrates their leadership and commitment to helping strengthen and redefine the business models for North American college stores. Independent College Bookstore Association is a rapidly growing retail cooperative of independent and institutional college bookstores (no leased or private stores) that is a premier organization in the bookstore industry. This nonprofit mutual benefit corporation is owned by its member stores, which are located throughout the United States and Canada. The mission of ICBA is to provide the programs and services that will establish the institutional store model as the preferred management solution for higher education. ICBA has generously agreed to assist NMS with coordinating the DCP pilots in the United States and their collaboration represents one of the first significant industry efforts to coalesce resources and strategy in an effort to achieve a new and higher industry benchmark for digital preparedness.
